About the Founder

Majeedah J. is the founder of The Kinky Coily Collective, a one-of-a-kind salon dedicated to the care and comfort of women removing braids and extensions. As a licensed aesthetician and beauty entrepreneur, she recognized the need for a professional space where takedown services are performed with gentleness, efficiency, and deep respect for the natural crown beneath.

Her vision was to create more than a service — but an experience. The Kinky Coily Collective was designed as a warm, soulful environment where clients can relax, refresh, and trust that their hair is in caring hands.

Majeedah’s mission is simple yet powerful: to make the process of braid and extension removal stress-free, while prioritizing healthy hair practices and client comfort. Through her work, she is redefining what it means to “undo” with intention — restoring crowns, uplifting spirits, and building a community where every client feels truly valued.
